Demolition Plan

Using AutoCAD, the goal of the demolition plan was to make the layout of the home more open and allow for the convenience that an older couple should have in a home. This openness was achieved by removing walls that connected the den as well as the dining room. Another improvement was the kitchen: this was opened up.

Construction Plan

Using the course's required software, the Hawthorne House needed some kitchen renovations. After demolishing the old cabinets and such, new ones were built and slightly rearranged for better function and movement. Furniture and some other decor were added to make the home feel more comfortable and welcoming.

Elevations

AutoCAD elevations were made to depict the details. These elevations really give the owners an idea of what their new kitchen was going to look like with the updated cabinetry, hardware, fridge, etc. Then, line weights were to be assigned according to their respective plane changes.

Details

Using the new cabinetry and hardware, details were drawn using AutoCad to get more detailed on the inner workings of both the wall and base cabinets as well as the drawers, even the wall was detailed. Line weights were then assigned to demonstrate plane changes.
