FACS 343 - 001

Digital Drafting II

Digital Drafting II explores the softwares SketchUp, 3D Revit, and Lumion to create 3D models of various structures.

01

Shed

To get to know SketchUp, students were to construct a shed - windows, doors, and finishes included. Then, the shed was 3D printed.

Church Project - The goal of the church project was to build a church from the ground up and then to fully furnish the building.

02

Lumion Church Renderings

Taking our Church Project constructed in SketchUp, students were supposed to put it into Lumion to add lighting features, creating a more realistic feel. After this was done, renderings were created from different rooms to get an idea of what the project would look like in reality.

03

Church Animation

Designers were to go throughout their church creating different views, or scenes, which created a video presenting the finished product through SketchUp.

04

Assisted Living Renderings

A complete 3D model was constructed of an assisted living facility, these renderings detail an apartment (bedroom, living room, and kitchen) as well as a dining room through the use of Lumion to make it more realistic.

05

Revit Sheets

With Revit, the assisted living facility was essentially de-constructed for details. Sheets were created exposing certain aspects of the design itself (i.e. furniture and construction plans, etc.)

Assisted Living Facility Project - This project consisted of the complete construction of an assisted living facility with full ADA accommodations.

06

3D Revit Animation

Much like the Church Animation, the assisted living facility was brought from Revit into Lumion to give a walk-through of the fully furnished areas.
